JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking dedicated Community Representatives to join our non-profit educational organization. Foster positive and lasting relationships within international high school exchange students, their host families, the local high school and the community.
Community representatives have strong communication skills and a passion for working with students, as well as an interest in learning about cultures and countries around the world.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in social work, education, or counseling preferred
  • Strong recruiting skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of individuals.
  • Experience working with students or youth programs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

    This is FLEXIBLE, PART-TIME CONTRACT work. We are always looking for reps all over the US, but you must reside in the US, as travel to schools and host family homes is required as part of the position.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, screen, and qualify host families while maintaining regular contact and support.
  • Serve as the liasion with the local high school, ensuring students are enrolled, welcomed and taking the appropriate classes
  • Conduct in-home interviews and assess the safety of host family environments
  • Host student and host family orientations throughout the school year
  • Conduct monthly check-ins with students and families, including one in-person meeting per semester
  • Engage in outreach and networking to promote Ayusa and recruit host families
  • Maintain accurate records, complete documentation and trainings on-time and within compliance standards
