JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to Team Lead, Contact Centre, the Community Resource Specialist – Gender Based Violence, Shelter Intake will provide assistance to individuals contacting the consolidated domestic violence shelter admission pilot. Through this service they will provide crisis intervention, screening and assessment for shelter admission and navigation support and safety planning to individuals fleeing abusive situations . The position provides information, assistance and liaison to people needing support around issues of Gender Based Violence; gathers statistics for reporting; and assists in various ways with the activities of the domestic violence shelter admission pilot project.
