Job Summary: The Expanded Learning Coordinator (ELC) leads the coordination and implementation of expanded learning opportunities at the assigned UCP Charter School campus as part of the Full-Service Community Schools initiative administered through the University of Central Florida Center for Community Schools. This role integrates and oversees after-school enrichment programming, the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program (if applicable), and other extended learning opportunities that support student academic growth, engagement, and well-being. The Expanded Learning Coordinator combines program management with direct student engagement, working closely with the Community Schools Site Coordinator, school leadership, teachers, families, and community partners to create meaningful opportunities for students beyond the traditional school day. Aligned with the UCP Charter Schools mission of Unlocking Children’s Potential, this role helps ensure students—particularly those who may need additional academic or social supports—have access to engaging programs that strengthen learning, confidence, and connection to school. Job Responsibilities: Expanded Learning Program Leadership: Coordinate and implement expanded learning programs including after-school enrichment, tutoring, mentoring, summer enrichment and academic support programs. If applicable oversee the implementation of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program at the campus, ensuring alignment with grant requirements and program goals. Support development of engaging enrichment opportunities such as STEM activities, arts, leadership development, and project-based learning experiences. Collaborate with school leadership and the Community Schools Site Coordinator to align expanded learning activities with school improvement priorities and student needs. Direct Student Engagement Provide direct instruction and facilitation of small-group enrichment activities, tutoring, and mentoring. Lead or support student programs focused on academic support, leadership development, and social-emotional learning. Build strong relationships with students to encourage school engagement, confidence, and consistent attendance. Support activities that help students develop problem-solving, teamwork, and life skills. After-School Program Coordination Coordinate daily operations of the after-school program, including scheduling activities, supervising program structure, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Support the recruitment and coordination of staff, volunteers, and university partners who assist with expanded learning programming. Manage program logistics including materials, supplies, and activity planning. Family and Community Engagement Coordinate family engagement opportunities connected to expanded learning programs such as family workshops, student showcases, and community events. Communicate with families regarding program opportunities and student participation. Partner with community organizations and university partners to expand enrichment opportunities for students. Attendance and Student Engagement Support Coordinate initiatives that promote student attendance, school engagement, and positive school climate. Identify students who may benefit from additional enrichment or mentoring opportunities. Collaborate with school staff to encourage participation in expanded learning programs. Data Collection & Reporting Maintain participation records and program documentation for 21st CCLC and Community School programming. Assist with required data collection, tracking program outcomes and student engagement. Support the Community Schools Site Coordinator with grant reporting and program evaluation. Minimum Experience/Skills Experience working with children or youth in educational, after-school, or community programs. Experience facilitating tutoring, enrichment activities, or youth programs preferred. Experience coordinating programs or activities for youth strongly preferred. Familiarity with 21st Century Community Learning Center programs or expanded learning initiatives is a plus. Passion for helping children succeed. Strong relationship-building skills with students, families, and staff Ability to facilitate engaging enrichment activities. Strong organizational and program coordination skills Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities. Experience working collaboratively with community partners.
