Care Network Ireland are currently recruiting a CORU-registered Social Care Worker to support 16-18-year-olds with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities in a low-support, community-based setting in the Carlow area.

REQUIREMENTS

• CORU registration as a Social Care Worker (or evidence of registration in progress).
• Level 6 or 7 degree in Social Care or equivalent recognised by CORU.
• Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
• Understanding of HIQA standards and safeguarding protocols.
• Full clean driving licence .
• Must have a valid visa to work in Ireland.
• Experience with 16-18-year-olds in care, education, or disability services is desirable.

• Provide person-centred, strengths-based support in line with individual care plans.
• Encourage daily living skills, confidence, and social development.
• Support access to education, training, work experience, and recreational activities.
• Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour in a respectful, low-maintenance environment.
• Ensure safeguarding practices are followed in line with Children First and organisational policy.
• Maintain accurate, HIQA-compliant records and contribute to care plan reviews.
