We are looking for highly motivated individuals that are enthusiastic, forward-thinking and keen to develop their clinical skills. Applicants must have a degree in podiatry and be registered with the HCPC. This role will be working across all the Podiatry sites in Oxfordshire.
Oxfordshire Podiatry services offer care to an increasingly interesting caseload with the emphasis of work focused on the care of the At Risk & High Risk foot, including wound/ulcer care. Nail surgery sessions are also a requirement for this post.
You will manage a specialist community caseload, demonstrating skills in current assessment techniques (inc use of monofilaments, ABPI, Doppler etc), treating ‘At Risk’ patients (inc. wound care), carrying out nail surgery and using evidence-based MSK skills to offload the At Risk Foot.
Be able to identify the local need for podiatry services, evaluate priorities and deliver care accordingly, managing capacity and demand within contractual agreements.
You will work in partnership with patients and other service users and communicate effectively to meet the needs of the recipient in maximising their understanding of information about their (foot) health. And be able to empathetically convey potentially distressing information.
Full and part time positions are available and whilst you will be based at a specific site you may on occasion be required to work at clinics and attend meetings or training across the wider county.
Working outside core hours (i.e. evenings and weekends) may occasionally be required.
