Description

We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are NOT currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses
Exciting opportunities are now available to join the Bexhill District Nursing Team. We have busy and varied caseloads, and you will be visiting housebound patients in their own home. You will be well supported in Practice to enable you to develop a large range of clinical knowledge and skills. Good communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team. You must be able to travel independently in a timely manner.
Service reconfiguration and additional investment has enabled
The development of new roles with extended skills and scope of practice
Development of a seven-day service
Enhanced career progression opportunities
Community care in East Sussex is now based around Primary Care Network (PCN) teams. These provide integrated multi-disciplinary services, supporting individualised patient care and the needs of the local population
Secondment opportunities are also available. If you are an internal member of staff applying for a secondment opportunity, you should discuss with your line manager before applying. Full details can be found in the secondment policy available on the Trust extranet.
Deliver Nursing Care as part of a team. You will support the District Nurse in the delivery of an efficient/effective nursing service. You will have responsibility for assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care whilst
working autonomously as a lone worker.
You must be able to travel throughout the locality in a timely manner, carrying equipment/staff with you. You must have access to a car and hold a current driving license. The Trust has partnered with NHS Fleet solutions to provide a cost effective way to lease a brand new car via salary sacrifice.
We are proud to provide ‘Outstanding’ care and be a great place to work
We provide safe, compassionate and high quality care to half a million people living or visiting East Sussex. We are one of the largest organisations in East Sussex, the only integrated provider of acute and community care in Sussex. Our extensive services are provided by 7000 + members of staff working from acute hospitals in Hastings and Eastbourne, three community hospitals in Bexhill, Rye and Uckfield, over 100 community sites and in people’s own homes.
In 2020 the Care Quality Commission rated us as ‘Good’ overall, and ‘Outstanding’ for being caring and effective. The Conquest Hospital and our Community Services are rated ‘Outstanding’. Eastbourne DGH rated ‘Good’.
In 2020, the Trust launched its ambitious ‘Building for our Future’ programme. This once in a lifetime programme aims to repair, redevelop and expand our hospitals, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come.
