Community Support Associate Company/Location: Kentucky River Community Care/Perry County/Meadowview Cottage Employment type: Full-Time Credentials Required: High School Diploma/GED, and 1 (one) year full-time working with individuals who receive treatment services for treatment of a mental health/co-occurring disorder. Special skills needed: Interpersonal and written communication skills, computer skills, organized, dependable. Primary Functions: Teaching skills to adults with Serious Mental Illness including daily living activities, crisis coping, emotional regulation, and medication side effects. Document activities with clients in the electronic medical record. Complete all assigned work in a timely manner including required continuing education courses. Assist individuals to live with maximum independence in the community. Assist individuals to take medications, monitor symptoms, and monitor side effects of medication. Teach individuals skills for living in the community, budgeting money, and keeping the home safe and clean.
