Goshen Therapeutic Services, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, is a community-based social service organization that provides services for families involved with DFCS & DBHDD as well as in the community. We are currently seeking a Community Support Individual to serve Cherokee and Bartow Counties working with children and adults. The Community Support Individual will provide rehabilitative, environmental support, and resource coordination to assist a youth/family in gaining access to necessary services and creating environments that promote resiliency and support the emotional and functional growth and development of the youth. Job Duties include: Maintain a caseload of youth (not to exceed 30 cases) and their family providing community support services and resource coordination. Assist in establishing and achieving the client IRP goals and objectives. Assist youth and family in prevention of crisis situations. Aid youth in achieving stability and age appropriate functioning in their daily environment. Serve as the primary coordinator of behavioral health services and provide linkage to community; general entitlements; and psychiatric, substance use disorder, medical services, crisis prevention and intervention services. Coordinate with family and significant others and with other systems of care such as the school system, juvenile justice system, child welfare and child protective services when appropriate to treatment and educational needs. Follow the required components of community support individual as outlined in the DBHDD provider manual. Complete Standardized Training Requirement for Paraprofessionals approved by the Department of Community Health. Additionally, the right Community Support Individual candidate will have a Continuous Learning, Customer Focus, strong Interpersonal Skills, be a Self Starter, and exhibit Time and Priority Management. This is a part-time position. Benefits include 401k eligibility. $25.00/hour service rate. Salary is tiered with a base rate of $10.00/hour (for administrative work/training/travel, etc.) and an additional service rate of $15.00/hour (for a total of $25.00/hour for service rate). Attendance to staff meetings, all staff training and activities is still expected. Requirements The Community Support Individual will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related human services field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be of good character and supportive of the programs, policies, and ideals of GVF. Must be able to pass a health exam, drug screen and background check, possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by GVF insurance carrier.
