JOB SUMMARY

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 education
  • Related Community Support certification or an equivalent combination of skills and experience
  • Experience in personal care and seizure disorders
  • Experience working with individual support plans is an asset
  • Experience with non-verbal communication is an asset
  • Class 5 Drivers License is an asset
  • Current First Aid with AED
Responsibilities
  • Support program Participants with their community inclusion activities in a safe and understanding environment.
  • Be prepared to have fun at dance parties, picnics and experiencing nature.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized program space for Participants.
  • Collaborate with home share providers and family members to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status.
