JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals, particularly those with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively residential/group home settings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred; experience in working with persons with disabilities is a plus.
  • Ability to perform lifting & transferring as required by client needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Certification or training in nursing or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Support individuals with mobility needs, including lifting & transferring when necessary.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor client progress and report any changes in condition.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Light Housekeeping and meal prep.
  • Engage clients in social activities that promote mental stimulation and well-being.
