Provides and facilitates program opportunities that are conducive to the individual’s life skill development, community inclusion and independence. Supports the individual’s vocational goals and promotes skill growth toward gainful employment if so desired by the individual
Location: Invermere, BC Status: Part Time, Temporary

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Knowledge

  • Certificate or Diploma in Human Service Work or related field.

Training and Experience

  • One (1) year recent related experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Other Information

  • A Class 5 Driver’s License is required as a condition of employment.
  • Employee must be willing to use personal vehicle and be reimbursed for mileage, outlined in Article 26.9 of the Collective Agreement.

Responsibilities
  • To work in a team and/or individual environment with the needs of the individuals supported by NEXUS as the primary focus.
  • To develop and facilitate opportunities based on the needs and goals set by the individual and their support network.
  • To facilitate community inclusion in a variety of settings in our community and surrounding area.
  • To complete documentation on a regular basis that outlines individual’s success, needs and or further support that may be required.
  • Maintaining documentation/records pertaining to expenditures made for programming needs.
  • To participate in meetings, training opportunities and service planning as required.
  • Perform other related duties as require
