This role is a full-time position. The Older Adults Community Support Services is responsible for engaging and supporting people (aged 65 and over) who have mental health challenges and live in the Auckland and Waitemata District. The service offers individual community-based support and group-based programmes (e.g. social groups, Cognitive Stimulation Therapy) to promote positive ageing in place, enhance social connections, and navigate access to services.
As a Community Support Worker (CSW), you’ll be working autonomously with our Tangata whai ora (service users), supporting them to engage and remain in their chosen community and helping them to work on self-directed goals, maintain well-being and achieve their fullest potential and quality of life. The role also involves collaboratively working with the whānau/family and working under the multi-disciplinary framework with the Community Mental Health Centres.
