Operating as a non-profit society since 1977, Etana provides support services to adults with developmental disabilities. We work with individuals in the city of Red Deer and area, with our office located in Red Deer.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are recruiting a Part Time Community Support Worker to provide individualized support for an individual in Red Deer.
The rotation is Monday to Thursday 10 AM - 3 PM and EOW Saturday and Sunday 9 AM - 2 PM.
As a Community Support Worker you would be providing supports that include community outings based on the individuals interests. The successful candidate must enjoy the outdoors and being busy. A vehicle is required.
You will complete your duties ensuring that services provided are of the maximum possible benefit to the individual(s) and that services are operated in accordance with standards as set out by Etana, Disability Services and C.A.R.F Accreditation Standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or Mature Status
• Class 5 Driver’s License, reliable vehicle and valid insurance
• Experience in Human Service Field
• Emergency First Aid & CPR
• Clear Vulnerable Sector check
• Experienced in personal care

REQUIRED TRAINING (this training is available through Etana)

• Abuse Protocol/ Protection of Persons in Care Act.
• SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) name change
• Medication Administration
• Food Safe
