Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our Housing Repairs Team. This role involves carrying out high-quality maintenance work across a variety of council dwellings & properties around the city using a Council vehicle, ensuring safe, functional, and well-maintained buildings for the residents of Sheffield. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will directly contribute to the safety, efficiency and longevity of our building asset.
As a Plumber within Sheffield City Council’s Repairs & Maintenance Team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our buildings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake general Plumbing tasks including repairing leaks/bursts, fitting baths/sinks/hand basins/Showers, replacing pipework, radiators and general plumbing repairs and maintenance.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades (such as Plasterers/Electricians/Joiners) and council teams to complete projects efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and council policies.
