Position Title: Community Training Program Manager
Status: Full-Time/Exempt
Reports To: Assistant Director of Clinical Training
Location: Portland, Oregon. This position requires some in-person work and training delivery in the Portland Metro Area. Occasional travel around Oregon and SW Washington, as well as possible travel to other states, will also be required.
Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000 per year. About the Organization: Lines for Life is a regional non-profit that is dedicated to preventing substance abuse and suicide. We offer help and hope to individuals and communities and promote mental health for all. Our work addresses a spectrum of needs that include intervention, prevention, and advocacy. We educate, train, and advocate to prevent issues of substance abuse, mental illness, and thoughts of suicide from reaching crisis levels. But when a crisis arises or support is needed, we are available 24/7/365 to intervene with personalized help.

COMMUNITY TRAINING PROGRAM MANAGER POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lines for Life is seeking a Community Training Program Manager to support the implementation and strategy of the training program to bring mental health and suicide prevention and intervention education to communities across Oregon.

COMMUNITY TRAINING PROGRAM MANAGER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate degree in psychology; counseling; social work; or a behavioral science field
• At least 2 years of crisis intervention experience
• Experience with training delivery, education, or public speaking
• Ability to think systematically to manage complex, large-scale initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to supervise and provide constructive feedback
• Strong networking and recruiting skills
• Proficiency in a web-based computer environment
• Able to stay calm when handling stressful situations and skilled in problem-solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to provide sound clinical judgment.

COMMUNITY TRAINING PROGRAM MANAGER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified MHFA Trainer
• Certified QPR Trainer
• Certified ASIST Trainer
• Experience developing training curriculum
• Professional licensure (LCSW, LPC, etc.

• Responsible for the development and continued revision of the curriculum of trainings covering crisis intervention, suicide intervention, and more for community members, organizations, and professionals.
• Ensure that training content and delivery is aligned with best practices, a trauma informed approach, and Lines for Life’s mission and values.
• Provides direct supervision and oversight to members of the community training team, including but not limited to the Mental Health Awareness Training program, the QPR/BSBB program, and additional staff and/or interns. This includes regular coaching and supervision sessions, collaborating with HR on performance management, and completing annual performance reviews.
• Work closely with the Assistant Director of Clinical Training to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan that includes grant-funded and fee-for-service community training initiatives.
• Manage workflows for recruitment, registration, and tracking of training participants.
• Maintain accurate training and financial records.
• Ensure timely delivery of all reporting requirements, including quarterly and annual reports.
• Facilitate training, including Lines for Life based curriculum and evidence-based trainings that may include but are not limited to: QPR, MHFA, BSBB, and ASIST.
• Collaborate with the Communications Department to develop a web-based training presence and targeted approach to marketing.
• Collaborate with the Prevention Department to provide community training opportunities at conferences and other community events.
• Collaborate with Crisis Lines Trainers to develop and revise training content.
• Support grant-writing as appropriate for program development and in alignment with Lines for Life’s strategic pillars.
