Job Title: Backup & Commvault Engineer We are seeking an experienced Backup & Commvault Engineer to manage, support, and enhance our enterprise backup and data protection environment. The role focuses on Commvault Complete Data Protection, ensuring reliable backups, fast restores, disaster recovery readiness, and strong protection against data loss and ransomware. Key Responsibilities Backup & Recovery Operations - Design, implement, and maintain Commvault backup and recovery solutions. - Manage Commvault components including CommServe, MediaAgents, and Clients. - Configure storage policies, schedules, deduplication, and retention. - Perform and support file-level, VM, and application-level restores. - Ensure backup success, performance optimization, and SLA compliance. Disaster Recovery & Data Protection - Support disaster recovery (DR) strategies, replication, and recovery testing. - Ensure backups meet Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) requirements. - Conduct regular DR drills and document recovery procedures. - Support recovery during incidents such as system failures or cyberattacks. Technical Skills - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Commvault Complete Data Protection. - Strong knowledge of backup and recovery concepts. - In-depth understanding of Commvault architecture, including CommServe, MediaAgent, and Deduplication Database (DDB). - Experience with VMware-based backup environments. - Proficiency with Windows and Linux systems. - Understanding of storage concepts, including SAN/NAS, disk, tape, and object storage. - Basic knowledge of networking, including firewalls, ports, and bandwidth. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in enterprise backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.

Responsibilities

The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Commvault backup and recovery solutions, as well as managing Commvault components. Additionally, the engineer will support disaster recovery strategies and ensure compliance with recovery objectives.
