Description Companions for Life continues a tradition of serving our community with compassionate and professional cremation for beloved pets. With our dedicated facilities and staff we are seeking to add a part time Companions Service Assistant/Crematory Operator. Duties/Responsibilities: Performing all aspects of the cremation process, including aquamation, with instruction and training provided. Compassionate and professional pickup of deceased pets from veterinary clinics and family homes. Delivery of cremated remains to veterinary clinics and family homes. Data entry of all pets from pickup to return in our SRS software. Restock supplies as needed. Including but not limited to cleaning supplies and chemical supplies. Clean and maintain cremation areas and vehicles. Various other tasks as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, possible overnight pickups. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Keen social awareness and integrity. Excellent understanding of customer service. Detail-oriented. Strong work ethic and trustworthiness. Previous funeral or veterinary service is preferred but not required. Team focused, must be able to work together for our common goal. Requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be insurable by Cedar Memorial’s insurance provider. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing may be required. Must be able to lift up to 70. Responsibilities
