JOB OVERVIEW

Beatson’s Building Supplies are one of Scotland’s Largest Independent Builders Merchants. We have been providing our award-winning service to both the building trade and the retail customer for over 40 years. Our network of branches deliver daily across Central Scotland, Fife and the Borders. We are currently seeking a skilled Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic team.
As a Company Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing our procurement processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Your expertise in Excel and experience with rebates in the builder’s merchant trade will be vital in optimising our operations. Applicant must have experience working in the builders merchant trade or the application will not be considered.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Company buyer or similar role in the builder’s merchant trade.
  • High proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
  • Experience in managing supplier rebates.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-orientated with strong organisational skills.
Responsibilities
  • Analyse procurement data and generate insightful reports using advanced Excel functions.
  • Manage rebates with suppliers to maximize savings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure timely procurement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline procurement processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier agreements
