JOB SUMMARY

The GMP Hygienist will be responsible for performing cleaning and sanitisation tasks within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment, ensuring all areas meet the required regulatory and quality standards.
This role will also involve maintaining the cleanliness of office and common areas, contributing to the overall hygiene and safety of the workplace. As part of the ancillary production team, the GMP Hygienist will assist with daily team tasks to support smooth operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Experience in a GMP-regulated environment or similar cleaning role.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Familiarity with cleaning protocols and documentation in a controlled environment.

Desirable

  • Experience in industrial or laboratory cleaning.
  • Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and safe chemical handling practices.
  • Experience working as part of a production or ancillary team.
Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled cleaning and sanitisation of GMP production areas, including equipment and surfaces, in compliance with GMP requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in non-GMP areas, including offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and communal spaces.
  • Ensure cleaning documentation is accurately completed and filed in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Follow all GMP and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) guidelines to maintain a controlled and compliant environment.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cleaning and sanitization tasks.
  • Report any deviations, issues, or non-conformances identified during cleaning processes.
  • Assist with daily tasks within the ancillary production team, such as material handling, stock rotation, or general support duties.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Follow health and safety procedures to minimise risks and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and consumables whilst ensuring appropriate storage and rotation of cleaning materials to prevent contamination.
