Salary: $180,000 plus 11.5% superannuation and salary packaging
About the role
The Company Secretary plays a key role in ensuring the Housing Choices Australia Group maintains strong governance practices, regulatory compliance, and effective Board performance. As the governance advisor to the Board, CEO, and senior leadership, you will lead high-level compliance activities and oversee the smooth operation of Board and committee processes across multiple legal entities.
This role is ideal for an experienced governance professional who combines exceptional organisational skills with discretion, leadership, and deep understanding of corporate and not-for-profit regulation.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
About you
Acting as Company Secretary across the HCA Group and its subsidiaries
Supporting the CEO and Chair to coordinate Board and committee meetings, minutes, agendas, and governance documentation
Advising the Board on its responsibilities and duties under Corporations Law and ACNC governance standards
Ensuring compliance with ASIC, ACNC, ATO, and housing sector regulatory reporting
Leading Board inductions, evaluations, and governance training
Maintaining statutory registers and company records

The team proactively manages risk, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance to sustain operational excellence and ethical standards. This function is integral to maintaining trust with stakeholders and ensuring that the organisation’s strategic and operational decisions align with legal obligations and best practices.
