This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 480000 - Rs 540000 (ie INR 4.8-5.4 LPA) Experience: 0+ yrs Location: Ahmedabad Job Type: full-time We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Company Secretary (CS) to support corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and secretarial functions across the organization. This role is ideal for a recently qualified CS professional or someone with up to one year of experience who is looking to build a strong career in company law, corporate compliance, and governance practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, maintaining corporate records, managing filings, and supporting board and committee processes. The position offers valuable exposure to corporate legal matters, secretarial operations, regulatory reporting, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of company law, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple compliance activities with accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Maintain statutory registers, records, and company secretarial documentation. Assist in organizing and conducting Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, and Annual General Meetings (AGMs). Prepare meeting notices, agendas, minutes, resolutions, and related documentation. Handle ROC filings, annual returns, and other statutory compliance submissions. Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, corporate governance requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks. Monitor compliance calendars and ensure timely completion of statutory filings and deadlines. Coordinate with auditors, legal advisors, consultants, and regulatory authorities. Draft, review, and maintain corporate documents, agreements, and official correspondence. Support management in matters related to corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory obligations. Maintain accurate records of all company secretarial activities and filings. Assist in compliance audits, due diligence processes, and regulatory reviews. Ensure proper documentation and record retention in line with legal and organizational requirements. What Makes You a Great Fit Qualified Company Secretary (CS) with Fresher to 1 year of relevant experience. Strong understanding of the Companies Act, 2013 and corporate compliance requirements. Knowledge of ROC filings, statutory records, and corporate governance processes. Familiarity with Board Meetings, AGM procedures, and secretarial documentation. Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and company law matters. Strong drafting, documentation, and report-writing skills. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities. Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines. Professional attitude, integrity, and commitment to compliance excellence. Exposure to SEBI regulations and corporate governance practices will be an added advantage.
