Organization: PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation PAD Position Overview: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides basic husbandry and health surveillance for all research animals on a daily basis. Routinely performs technical laboratory procedures. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise specimen handling. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Job Description: EDUCATION: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of animal care and safe handling procedure, as well as animal anesthesia, and inoculation. Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Possess written and verbal communications skills to communicate with fellow team members, supervisors, sponsors, and other hospital personnel. well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
