What is CompAZ? CompAZ is a 5-month development journey combining science, digital innovation, business skills, and hands-on project experience. The program brings together 20 participants — 10 AstraZeneca talents and 10 students from Warsaw based universities — to learn, collaborate and contribute to the future of precision drug development. You will be surrounded by a collaborative, inclusive community where curiosity is welcome, questions are encouraged, and learning becomes a shared experience. Participants often describe CompAZ as “more than a program — a meaningful journey that leaves a real imprint.” You will engage in expert-led lectures, workshops, and real-world project work across key areas such as: 🔬 Scientific & Medical Foundations Master the core of oncology. You’ll dive deep into tumor molecular biology and learn how biomarker diagnostics drive modern medicine. 💻 The Digital Edge Bridge the gap between biology and technology. We provide hands-on Python and Power BI workshops, teaching you to apply AI in drug discovery. You’ll even step into the future by building your own AI agents. 🧭 Strategic Business Operations Get under the hood of late-stage oncology project management and master the R&D finance and alliance management skills needed to bring a drug to market. 🎤 Communication & Soft Skills Great science needs a great voice. Sharpen your scientific communication and presentation skills through collaborative group projects and expert consultations.
