COMPENSATION ANALYST

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Compensation Analyst to support their compensation team with project-based analysis, position description clean-up, and related initiatives. This role will contribute to ensuring accurate, compliant, and competitive compensation programs, while collaborating closely with HR partners and business leaders. The ideal candidate will bring direct compensation experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.
This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.

Compensation Analyst Responsibilities

  • Conduct job analyses, evaluate positions, and benchmark roles against market data.
  • Support internal equity reviews, compile reports, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the position description library.
  • Manage salary survey participation, data collection, and market pricing resources.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support for annual merit, incentive, and recognition programs.
  • Coordinate with HRIS and systems teams to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Respond to routine compensation inquiries and maintain procedural documentation.
  • Assist with compliance reviews, audits, and other compensation-related projects as assigned.

Compensation Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compensation administration, HR analytics, or related roles.
  • Working knowledge of compensation principles, employment regulations, and market pricing practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage and analyze large data sets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Compensation: $35-$45/hr. (DOE)
