THE POSITION

We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to support and enhance the firm’s attorney, legal service, and business professional compensation programs. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the firm’s compensation practices are competitive, equitable and aligned with both market benchmarks and firm goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of compensation trends, and a collaborative mindset.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-7 years of experience in compensation, HR analyst or related roles, preferably within a law firm..
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of market pricing, job evaluation methodologies, and salary structure development.
  • Familiarity with compensation laws, regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with attorney compensation practices such as lockstep pay scales and attorney bonus structures, preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
  • Experience with compensation software.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive salary structures.
  • Analyze compensation trends to provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to ensure fair, consistent and equitable compensation practices.
  • Participate in the development of salary structures for our legal and business professionals.
  • Evaluate job descriptions to determine appropriate salary grades and classifications.
  • Support the annual compensation review and performance management cycles.
  • Generate and analyze compensation reports to guide firm-wide decision-making.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and interpret results to align pay strategies with market trends.
  • Support HR with job offers, promotions, and internal salary adjustments.
  • Provide guidance on compensation policies and procedures to manager and employees.
