As a member of the Singapore Policy and Benefits team, you will play a key role in assuring and safeguarding our License to Operate within Singapore. Your primary responsibilities will be on Compensation and Pensions. You will lead compensation activities, requiring a holistic, end to end approach to ensure consistency, sustainability, strong user experience and cost efficiency in the solution.
In partnership with the Global Rewards team, to help develop global pay policies and archetypes, to be applied locally, to ensure our pay policies are grounded in and aligned with our global identity and company values. You will also partner with business representatives and the HR community to enable the delivery of the local Pension plans, including legacy pension scheme, in cooperation with Group Pension.
As the Compensation & Benefits Advisor, you will also play a key role in providing a great user experience for our employees and leaders through ensuring our pay policies are clear, easy to access and apply and that they are easy and cost efficient to administer with the support of our HR Operations teams.
This role will report to Singapore Policy & Benefits Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As the Compensation & Benefits Advisor you will be tasked with the following:

  • Provides deep subject matter expertise relating to compensation and local pensions, and staying current on legislative requirements, best practices and application across all businesses.
  • Act as a proactive, strategic partner to the broader HR Community and business to solve business challenges within compensation remit. This is done in consultation with HR Operations, Global Rewards team and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the roll out of global pay policies, archetypes and continuous improvement initiatives including providing local insights and requirements, developing change and engage plans and supporting leader/HR engagements.
  • Accountable for supporting the annual pay review in Singapore and undertake pay benchmarking exercises.
  • Support the development and recommendations of annual pay program.
  • Review, and if needed, recommend system changes to ensure accuracy of payments.
  • Support ongoing country pay education activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to ER/IR on local compensation topic for renewal or negotiations of collective agreement, to enable competitive and affordable positioning.
  • Responsible for the coordination and communication of the compensation/local pensions process including providing recommendations regarding changes and ensuring timely implementation.
  • Maintain awareness of trends, competitive practice and legal landscape as they relate to compensation and local pension.
  • Engage with a variety of stakeholders, within and outside Shell.
  • Leads/supports assigned projects/activities within the team.
