Compensation Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Compensation Specialist to join a leading organization in Boston, MA. In this role, the Compensation Specialist will manage compensation programs and processes, including market analysis and pricing, internal equity reviews, job evaluations, and providing strategic recommendations on salary structures, bonuses, and incentive plans. The ideal candidate will bring 6–8+ years of compensation consulting experience within a highly regulated industry.
This is a 5+ month contract opportunity offering $65–$73 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position follows a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote each week.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 6–8+ years of compensation experience in a highly regulated industry, with expertise in base salary and incentive compensation plan management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of compensation laws and regulations, including FLSA
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skill
Responsibilities
  • Support compensation programs and administration processes
  • Perform market pricing and analysis using survey data
  • Provide recommendations on salaries, bonuses, incentives, and market trends
  • Conduct internal equity reviews and job evaluations
  • Manage equity, incentive, and year-end merit planning
  • Prepare compensation reports and data analysis to guide decision-making
  • Partner with HR leaders and business partners to ensure alignment with compensation policies
  • Collaborate with the HR reporting team to maintain accurate and timely HRIS data
  • Contribute to compensation project planning, coordination, and execution
  • Provide additional support as needed
