Job Description

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

  • Working with clients to establish a Total Rewards strategy for the organization, and its business units, based on strategic requirements including compensation, benefits, and wellness elements
  • Leading the job evaluation process, including maintaining job descriptions, and establishing classifications based on the process of job classification, maintain the organization’s job evaluation system, job classification including job evaluation, leveling, and classification determining the job level and classification and maintaining a comprehensive job evaluation system for the organization
  • Benchmarking jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive pay for the jobs
  • Providing analytical support and subsequent recommendations to local client-facing HR and Talent Acquisition on compensation-related events (e.g., hiring, promotions, transfers, demotions etc.)
  • Preparing and presenting job and total rewards analysis requested by the business
  • Gathering data from market-based surveys and assessing market trends, preparing analysis of findings, and proposing recommendations based on those findings
  • Reviewing compensation and benefits trends in Canada and the US to understand the markets, assess strategies, and propose recommended courses of action
  • Collecting data and performing cost analysis to be used for employee negotiations and collective bargaining, and acting as a subject matter expert with the negotiations team
  • Supporting the annual compensation cycles across North America, partnering with HRIS to administer and maintaining total rewards processes in Workday.
  • Developing and documenting total rewards procedures to streamline processes and ensure regulatory compliance

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

  • A Degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration or Accounting is highly desirable for this position.
  • A relevant certification such as CEBS, CCP, CHRP, CHRL is highly preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ Experience working in a similar role dedicated to Total Rewards including job evaluation, benefits design and administration in a complex organization.
  • Previous experience with writing job descriptions and providing evaluations and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of compensation theory and principles relating to job design, job analysis, job documentation and job evaluation.
  • Experience working in a complex multi-jurisdictional organization.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Must possess tact, diplomacy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
