Egnitest are leaders in the servicing and inspection of specialist military installations all over the UK. We have over 25 years experience in the industry and look after and maintain some of the UK’s most critical military installations.
We require an Electrical Technician to carry out Testing and Inspection of electrical systems within hazardous areas on MOD estates nationwide, with the required area being mainly Central and North England
The candidate MUST HAVE 18th Edition and an inspection and testing qualification C&G2391 or equivalent and have experience in Electrical testing inspection and certification.
A Compex qualification would be advantageous however not essential as some training and courses can be provided for the correct candidate.
LPS systems and control system experience would be advantageous. Additional training etc will be provided however a basic understanding is essential.
The work involves Testing and Inspecting of Flammable Goods Storage Buildings, Petrol Forecourt type installations (fuel pumps and motors) , Bulk Fuel Aviation facilities (Pumps and Motors) and Armoury/Munition Facilities.
The role involves extensive travel to sites and occasionally an overnight stay which will be paid for by the company. Reliability and punctuality is a must as well as being able to operate self sufficiently with all materials and purchasing done for the tasks given. Each day may involve a new site.
The job will vary from week to week and will involve admin days at home as well as being mobile and travelling to sites. The candidates will be expected to manage installations in their area and take on all aspects of the tasks expected by the client from the initial inspection to the completion of remedial works.
