LME Care, a leading disability support provider in Brisbane, is searching for dedicated and skilled casual Support Workers with addiction and complex behaviour experience to join our team.

As a Complex Behavior Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting an individual with challenging behaviors and complex needs, helping them navigate various life challenges. Your role will involve consistent redirection and implementing personalized behavior support plans, aimed at promoting positive behaviors and enhancing the overall quality of life for our client.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviors and mental health issues
  • Certificate III in Individual Disability Support required
  • Demonstrated understanding of Positive Behavior Support principles
  • MAYBO, MHFA, Crisis Intervention or Alcohol/Addiction training highly desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current first aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle required
  • A current NDIS Workers Screening Card and a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to individuals with complex behaviors
  • Implement behavior support plans
  • Monitor client behavior and document any changes or incidents
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that foster social connections and skill development
  • Ensure a safe environment for clients and promote positive behavior interventions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions
