JOB DESCRIPTION

La vie en Rose are currently looking for experienced and passionate Complex care assistants who have experience supporting individuals with complex care needs in comfort of their own home. We appreciate that every customer is different, and this is why every day will be different.

As a part of the complex care team you will be delivering specialist care to service users with complex long term conditions such as:

  • Brain Injury
  • Epilepsy
  • Myoclonic Seizures
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Ventilated Clients
  • Mental Health Disability
  • Learning Disability
  • Parkinson’s
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Motor Neurone Disease
  • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Must have full driving license and access to own vehicle
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in complex care sector
  • Good communication skills and a good sense of humour
  • Have compassion, empathy and patience
  • Are trustworthy, honest and respectful Demonstrate understanding of self-centred care
  • Treats others with dignity and respect
  • Helps vulnerable people live as comfortably as possible
  • Assisting patients with grooming and personal hygiene
  • Preparing meals and providing emotional support
  • Administering medication and feed via a peg
  • Suctioning
  • Cough assist
  • Monitoring clients’ health and wellbeing
  • Maintaining and updating reports
  • Daily tasks that may be required – such as light housekeeping,
  • Supporting with social interaction
  • Support to other team members in emergency situations
  • Working alternate weekends essential
