COMMUNITY CHILDRENS NURSE - COMPLEX CARE PROVIDER - NORTH EAST AREA

We are seeking an experienced, reliable Complex Care Bank Registered Children’s Nurses who are able to travel;

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

We are seeking a confident and competent experienced Complex Care Bank Registered Children’s Nurses who can work in a community setting.
You will be able to drive to our regional areas to train HCA’s, to sign off competencies that enable our care workers to deliver the best care ..
Experience of working with complex clinical care, rehabilitation, neurological care, mental health patients is desirable.
Working as part of a dedicated care team along-side HCA / Support Workers and delegating clinical tasks, monitoring and reviewing, ensuring safe practices in accordance to nursing regulatory standards.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience and ability to train staff in the following competencies;

  • Tracheostomy care
  • Bowel Management
  • Catheter Care
  • Cough Assist
  • Basic Life Support
  • Ventilation care
  • Enteral tube feeding
  • Epilepsy and Seizure management
  • Suction
  • Medication Administration and Pain Management
  • Competent in administering via and monitor a Central line
  • Nebuliser
  • Suprapubic catheter
  • Saturation monitoring
  • Spinal Injury
  • Brain Injury / ABI

REQUIREMENTS - YOU WILL NEED TO;

o Be a Registered Children’s Nurse with full awareness and understanding of NMC code of professional conduct
o Have a Valid PIN / DBS
o Full UK driving licence.
o Teaching/assessing/competency sign off
o Have a positive and dynamic approach to providing safe and effective delivery of care
