Complex needs support position available

We're looking for a reliable, friendly, and motivated support worker to join a small team assisting a 10-year-old in Success with Complex care needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to support his independence, health, and wellbeing at home, at school, and in the community.

About the Role:

You'll be working alongside his family, nurses, other support staff, and therapists to ensure he receives the highest standard of care in the following areas:

  • Personal Hygiene
  • PEG Feeding
  • Manual Handling and Transfers
  • Assistance with Household Tasks
  • Maintaining Detailed Records

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with complex care experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in building a long-term, supportive, and respectful working relationship.

Key Details:

  • Offering 32, plus hours per week.
  • A variety of shifts are currently available across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Casual and part-time opportunities available for the right applicants.
  • All support staff are employed directly by the family, with above-award wages.

The family are seeking support people who are:

·        Experienced in supporting people with complex care needs.

  • Friendly, reliable, and proactive individuals with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Able to always maintain personal hygiene.
  • Patient, empathetic, and have a professional approach to care.
  • Comfortable with providing personal care.
  • Willing to provide support based on his individual complex care needs.
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills within a supportive team.
  • Comfortable being around a family dog and are non-smokers.

Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module: 'Quality, Safety and You' Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
  • Working with Children check.
  • Manual Handling Certificate.
