About the role As the Compliance Advice and Assurance Lead within the Privacy Compliance team, you will play a critical role in strengthening our organisation’s privacy compliance posture. This role is responsible for providing independent review and challenge of how business units implement and maintain compliance with privacy laws, regulations, internal policies, and frameworks. You will assess the ongoing effectiveness of compliance controls and ensure they meet regulatory and organisational expectations. Key Responsibilities Monitor the effectiveness of the Group Privacy Framework and support the implementation of required enhancements. Conduct second line compliance assessments on privacy-related incidents to determine regulatory reportability. Provide oversight and support throughout the incident management lifecycle, including root cause analysis, rectification, and member remediation. Lead and support privacy impact assessments, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure effective privacy compliance arrangements. Prepare and deliver privacy compliance reporting insights using consistent data sources, internal compliance knowledge, and awareness of external regulatory trends. Contribute to the delivery of the annual privacy assurance program, ensuring factual and pragmatic reporting to obligation, risk, and control owners. Support the Manager, Privacy Compliance in preparing reports and escalations for executive and board committees. About you You are a compliance professional with a strong foundation in privacy and data-related obligations, and a passion for driving meaningful risk and compliance outcomes. A foundational understanding of compliance obligations — this is non-negotiable. Experience in conducting compliance assessments, particularly within privacy or financial services contexts. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to uncover hidden insights through analysis. Minimum 3+ years of experience delivering compliance control assurance. Minimum 3+ years assessing business incidents for compliance risk, root cause, and potential breaches. Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information from diverse sources and present findings clearly. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Why join RACQ?
