Financial Crime AnalystLocation: Watford, Hertfordshire (5 days a week)Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

We're partnering with a growing and highly regarded specialist financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Financial Crime Analyst.

The OpportunityWorking within an established Risk & Compliance team, you'll take ownership of financial crime investigations and customer due diligence, helping ensure the business meets its regulatory obligations while maintaining a pragmatic, commercial approach to risk.This role offers excellent exposure across financial crime operations, compliance and stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for someone looking to continue developing their career within a growing regulated business.

• Key ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed financial crime and AML reviews on new and existing customer relationships.
• Assess customer risk profiles, including source of funds, source of wealth and beneficial ownership.
• Complete Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) investigations where required.
• Review and investigate screening alerts relating to sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), adverse media and watchlists.
• Provide guidance to operational teams on AML and financial crime-related matters.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and case management documentation.
• Support internal audits, regulatory reviews and file testing activities.
• Assist with the ongoing management and optimisation of financial crime screening and monitoring systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, processes and customer outcomes.

About YouYou'll be a proactive and analytical compliance professional who enjoys investigating risk and making informed decisions.

• You'll ideally have:Previous Financial Crime, AML, KYC or Fraud experience within a regulated financial services business.
• Strong understanding of UK AML regulations and financial crime frameworks.
• Experience conducting customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence investigations.
• Knowledge of sanctions screening, PEP reviews and adverse media investigations.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• The confidence to make risk-based decisions and communicate them clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI (or similar) would be advantageous.
