Description:

- Support the development and execution of a compliance strategy that aligns with Waza’s business objectives and growth trajectory. This includes assisting with the acquisition and maintenance of requisite licenses across different markets
- Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices in emerging markets, particularly in financial technology and cross-border payments, ensuring Waza remains compliant
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance measures into product development, operations, and expansion initiatives
- Assist in maintaining a robust compliance framework by supporting the creation and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks such as money laundering, fraud, and data privacy concerns
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance measures and identify areas for improvement
- Provide support and training to internal teams on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of awareness and vigilance
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies, legal advisors, and partners to ensure up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements and build strong networks of support
- Help resolve compliance-related issues and incidents by implementing corrective actions when necessaryAssist in preparing and submitting compliance reports to relevant authorities as required by applicable laws and regulations.

As a Compliance Analyst, you will assist in monitoring compliance processes, supporting the acquisition of new licenses, and implementing policies and procedures to uphold Waza’s commitment to integrity and legal adherence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory landscapes in emerging markets and possess an analytical mindset to help navigate complexities and support our seamless expansion
