The Compliance Manager (50%) implements, reports on, and manages the ongoing tasks related to the Corporate Compliance and Risk Management Program to ensure effective identification, measurement, control, and management of the relevant compliance and operational risks, ensuring that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and corporate requirements are addressed. The Compliance Manager also implements, reports on, and manages the ongoing tasks related to the agency’s quality improvement program by identifying quality measures and data management needs of the agency and developing processes and tracking mechanisms to ensure that programs and services meet the current and emerging requirements and mandates from payers and regulatory bodies.
The Credentialing Manager (50%) coordinates and administers all elements of provider and agency credentialing and group network contracting for Syntero. The Credentialing Manager works with external agencies, such as Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Medicare, private health insurers, and others to establish and maintain in-network reimbursement arrangements for delivering behavioral health services to clients covered by specific health plans. This individual acts as the agency’s subject matter resource and liaison to internal staff and external contacts, representing the agency professionally, effectively, and positively. This individual ensures that Syntero’s practitioners and practice locations meet initial and ongoing contracting, credentialing, re-credentialing, and re-attestation requirements.
: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in healthcare administration, behavioral health, or a related field. CHP, CSSGB, CPCO or another similar quality/compliance credential or training strongly preferred.
Five years of previous experience in a similar position, preferably in a behavioral health setting or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a behavioral health setting, is strongly preferred. Experience in quality improvement, compliance, data management, or a related area is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Highly detail-oriented and self-disciplined. Critical thinking in data analysis and problem resolution. Ability to think strategically and make and implement decisions quickly and soundly. Ability to work with various people from various backgrounds and career stages. Flexible, efficient, and able to multitask, using these skills to support agency leadership, program coordinators, department heads, and staff. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet resources. Experience in database updates, electronic health record use, health insurance, billing, and medical terminology preferred.
The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand in person and virtually. Ability to sit and/or remain stationary for extended periods. Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds.Flexible work schedule options are available, including hybrid.
