Epson Australia is looking for a Compliance & Legal Manager who has experience in corporate risk management and J-SOX to join our Corporate team at our new North Sydney head office.
Reporting directly to the General Manager - Finance and Admin, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance activities are carried out in a professional manner to mitigate any corporate risks.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide legal guidance to Senior Management which includes structuring solutions for disputes, providing support in legal issues and reviewing legal materials and contracts.
  • Build strong relationships and work collaboratively to strengthen service delivery across all business units and with our external partners.
  • Maintaining the company’s compliance and risk management framework.
  • Overseeing the administration and review of strategic.
  • Develop frameworks and processes to improve our risk and compliance position.
  • Advise on operational compliance issues concerning customers, suppliers, competitors, or regulators. and operational risk matrix.
  • Monitor and report on changes and developments in the legal and regulatory environment.
  • Lead the development and execution of projects relating to compliance to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review and draft compliance policies and procedures, ensuring continuous enhancement to the compliance framework.
  • Proactively implement changes to reflect evolving legislation, policy, or workplace industry standards.
  • Bi-monthly review & reporting to executive management team.
  • Leading the annual J-SOX cycle and reporting.
  • Lift awareness of compliance and other regulatory matters through education and activities.
  • Oversee legal, Insurance and OHS functions.
  • Liaise with parent, group companies and other stakeholders.
  • Oversight of all Partner engagement.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An understanding of and experience in J-SOX or Sarbox
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk related activities such as ISO requirements, business continuity planning and alike
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a multinational company
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
