Position Overview: We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance and Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. This dual-focused role will involve ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations while managing payroll processes. Your expertise will be crucial in driving adherence to best practices and maintaining the financial integrity of our company. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management Process monthly payroll for 100+ employees with complete accuracy and timeliness. Collect, verify, and reconcile attendance, leaves, and variable pay data. Ensure accurate calculation of base pay, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements. Maintain payroll master data — joiners, exits, and salary revisions. Prepare and share detailed payroll reports with management and the accounting team. Handle payroll queries from employees promptly and professionally. Compliance & Statutory Manage all statutory filings — PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and labor law requirements. Ensure timely deposits of statutory payments and returns. Maintain all statutory registers, employee records, and audit-ready documentation. Coordinate with legal or external consultants for labor law and taxation updates. Support the accounting team with statutory reconciliations and reports. HR & Operations Support Collaborate with HR for onboarding and exit settlements. Track and manage employee reimbursements, incentives, and expense claims. Prepare and issue salary slips and Form 16. Support internal audits and provide documentation as required. Implement process improvements for faster, more transparent payroll workflows. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. 5+ years of experience in payroll and statutory compliance for Indian entities (100+ staff). Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, PF, ESI, PT, and TDS. Hands-on experience with payroll software (GreytHR, Zoho People, QuickBooks Payroll, or similar). Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills for data validation and reports. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Clear English communication skills — written and verbal. Proven ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion. Experience coordinating with U.S.-based teams is a plus.
