Responsibilities

THE ROLE

RBI Classification: Class 2F and above & Class 4 Technical Manager
Reports to: Commercial Director
Salary: £75,000+ (depending on experience and location)
Lead Harwood’s technical compliance activities to ensure adherence to Building Safety Regulator requirements, building regulations, and industry standards whilst supporting strategic business objectives and maintaining our reputation as a trusted Registered Building Control Approver.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Qualifications and Professional Membership
    Full professional membership of RICS, CABE, or equivalent professional body
    Minimum 5 years’ experience in building control or related construction compliance role

Registered Building Inspector (Class 2F minimum) or ability to achieve registration within 6 months

  • Technical Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Safety Act 2022, and BSR requirements
Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Strong understanding of construction technology and building methods

Proficiency in building control software systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Core Competencies

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Experience in stakeholder management and client relationship building

Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities
