COMPLIANCE CO-ORDINATOR

This role will assist in all aspects of the Compliance team’s operational activities, ensuring our regulatory requirements under GDPR and other legislation are met in a timely and efficient fashion.
The Compliance Coordinator will also take responsibility for day-to-day administration of the team’s activities, liaising with other members to track and coordinate on shared activities, report on KPIs, and communicate on progress to leadership.
Working closely with a variety of stakeholders across the Primark business, the role requires excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently, and at pace.
As part of the Primark Risk and Compliance Team, you will join a fast-paced, commercial environment with the opportunity to work with key stakeholders, drive change, and take ownership of key coordination processes.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Managing Compliance inboxes dealing with both internal and external queries and escalating as necessary.
  • Administration of mandatory computer-based training to Primark colleagues
  • Tracking and coordinating team activity and assisting in the preparation of periodic reports.
  • Support in risk management and tracking activities across the wider function.
  • Providing support and assistance to the team relating to all matters received by the business.
  • Co-ordination and management of team diary, meetings and events.
  • Providing support and assistance to the team relating to any other investigatory work that is required across the business.
  • Reviewing all enquires received by the the team and ensuring that enquires are appropriately managed, recorded and filed.
  • Contributing to the due diligence checks on new suppliers and ensuring appropriate mitigations in place.
  • Coordinating and fulfilling Primark’s responses to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) under GDPR
  • Communicating promptly and effectively, and maintaining good working relationship with Company’s internal and external stakeholders

  • Minimum 2 years’ working experience in Compliance, Data Protection or Legal Operations
  • Demonstrated ability in working with Office software suite – experience with OneTrust a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - diplomatic, discreet, trustworthy and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels within the organisation.
  • Excellent presentation and organisational skills.
  • A flexible approach to work and be capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Be proactive and assertive reacting to key business requirements in a timely manner
  • Practical knowledge of handling, and responding, to Data Subject Access Request
