Description

HENRIETTE WULFF HOLM

HR Manager
Would you like to help ensure that Plesner continues to meet the highest standards within compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) control? Due to new legislation, we are expanding our AML checks to also cover funds in our pooled client account. In addition, the need for support in onboarding new clients and matters is growing, which is why we are now seeking a Compliance Controller.

ABOUT US

You will become part of Operational Compliance in our Risk & Compliance team, reporting to Head of Risk Management, Robert Grønlund.
We are a team of seven people dedicated to ensuring that Plesner remains compliant. This involves establishing and following clear processes and continuously ensuring that the data we handle is accurate and documented. At the same time, we work in a field that is constantly evolving, where regulatory frameworks change (often slightly) and must be implemented in an active and successful business.

Responsibilities

As a Compliance Controller, you will play a central role in the management of our pooled client account and in the onboarding of new clients and matters. You will have a strong focus on our pooled client account, where new funds are continuously monitored to ensure that the required documentation has been obtained from the associated client. You will make sure that documentation is obtained as quickly as possible and made available to the bank.
In addition, you will participate in onboarding new clients, setting up matters for our legal teams, and ensuring that our core data is continuously updated and accurate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring movements on our main client account and ensuring that full documentation has been obtained and made available to the bank
  • Setting up new clients, including conducting conflict checks
  • Setting up matters, including assessing whether each matter is covered by the AML Act
  • Performing KYC, risk assessments, PEP screenings, and other checks in accordance with the AML Act
  • Ensuring that we handle existing matters within the framework of the AML Act

You will collaborate and knowledge with your closest colleagues in the team, and you will work closely with the lawyers in our legal teams, client representatives, and other stakeholders, including foreign law firms and the banks we cooperate with.
