PRODUCT COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR AT MASCO CANADA (ONSITE – ST. THOMAS, ON OFFICE)

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Product Compliance Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring all new and existing models requiring certification are listed with the appropriate certifiers or regulatory agencies. This position will work closely with the engineering department and Product Managers to ensure all changes have the necessary testing, documentation, and approvals for certification in the Markets supported by Masco Canada.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Review new products or product modifications with engineering (PCPR)
  • Review PPAPs for compliance impact
  • Establish a test plan to comply with the latest edition of the standards
  • Discuss test plan with 3rd party certifiers and obtain agreement for product approval
  • Ensure test reports are complete for listing purposes
  • Create and maintain PMIs (Product Material Information spreadsheets)
  • Prepare submission reports to 3rd party certifiers to list new products
  • Prepare submission reports to update the listing of modified products currently listed
  • Combine projects to limit listing costs
  • Coordinate with 3rd party certifying bodies to ensure products are listed before launch
  • Issue Ship Hold Alerts when a product is found out of compliance
  • Conduct root cause analysis when compliance issues are found
  • Document concerns brought to attention and respond to deviations requested
  • Ensures all product water usage values are reported to the FTC, DOE, and CEC as required by Federal US law, on an annual basis. Must also report to the same regulatory bodies when models are introduced or discontinued.
  • Perform an internal audit program to evaluate existing products against their current listing
  • Provides training and guidance to Engineering personnel on standards and codes requirements affecting Masco Canada products (CSA, ASSE, ASME, IAPMO…)
  • Maintains compliance data in JDE and STEP
