We’re recruiting on behalf of a boutique accounting firm serving nonprofit organizations in the Fort Wayne area. This is a unique opportunity for a licensed CPA who is motivated by both leadership and impact with the chance to become a co-owner within two years.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active CPA license (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Background in public accounting (audit, tax, or both) preferred
• At least five years of professional accounting experience
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset
• Passion for supporting nonprofit missions and advancing DEI principles

• Lead compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to IRS, federal, state, and local regulations
• Oversee client month-end workpapers, adjustments, and financial statement reviews
• Manage the firm’s peer review and System of Quality Management
• Conduct internal audits and deliver compliance training on GAAP and nonprofit accounting
• Support clients with budgeting, grant reporting, and workers’ comp audits
• Build expertise in Form 990 preparation with the firm’s tax team
• Monitor and report firm KPIs, driving improvements across operations
• Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and staff development
