Description

The compliance officer (CO) will work closely with and have a liaison reporting to The Helping Hand Personal Care Chief Operations Officer.
The CO serves as the focal point for compliance activities. The CO needs to be a person of high integrity and should not perform duties that conflict with the compliance goals. Coordination and communication are the key functions of the CO with regard to planning, implementing, and monitoring the compliance program. This person also manages the online compliance reporting.

Responsibilities
  • recruitment and on-boarding of employees
  • ensuring that all credentialing has been checked with respect to all employees
  • reporting on a regular basis to the Chief Operations Officer, governing body, and leadership, and assisting these components in establishing methods to improve efficiency and quality of services, and to reduce the vulnerability to fraud, abuse, and waste
  • developing, coordinating, and participating in a multifaceted educational and training program that focuses on the elements of the compliance program, and seeks to ensure that all appropriate employees and management are knowledgeable of, and comply with, pertinent federal and state standards
  • coordinating internal compliance review and monitoring activities, including periodic reviews of operations.
  • Ensuring that the company and all employees are following Medicaid Quality Assurance Standards
  • Developing a Training plan
  • Providing Orientation Training
  • Providing Quarterly Trainings to the PCA/CNA workers
  • Conducting on-going audit of employee and client files
  • Building compliance systems to help with monitoring and oversight of the Medicaid waiver program
  • Perform monthly due diligence- sex offender registry, exclusion registry, nurse aid registry
  • Maintaining employee and client files
  • Data entry of employee and client data
  • Other duties as assigned
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $32,000.00 - $33,000.00 per year
