Job Summary
We are hiring a knowledgeable Compliance & Legal Officer to ensure that our shipping and logistics operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. The role will also involve managing contracts, insurance, and regulatory affairs to safeguard the company’s interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure company compliance with international, federal, and local maritime laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
  • Oversee insurance policies, claims, and renewals for vessels and operations.
  • Provide legal guidance on chartering, commercial, and operational matters.
  • Monitor changes in shipping regulations and update company policies accordingly.
  • Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with external legal advisors, government agencies, and regulatory authorities.
  • Support senior management with legal and compliance-related decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Maritime Law, or related field (LLB/LLM preferred).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Legal/Compliance Officer in the shipping, logistics, or maritime industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, contracts, and insurance.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
