EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of the UK’s financial services regulatory framework.
  • Experience of working for or closely with a regulatory body (FCA, PRA, Bank of England, FSA, HMT or Financial Ombudsman).
  • Experience in working within financial services in the UK (ideally within the EMI/PI, fintech or a challenger bank) or in a professional services firm.
  • Experience in implementing and overseeing Consumer Duty and most of the following regulatory areas: conduct, payments, data protection, SM&CR, product governance.
  • Experience in either operational risk and assurance is highly desirable.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING HERE?

As Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Act as subject matter expert, providing independent guidance to the first line and oversight of conduct risk, regulatory compliance and product.
  • Carry out second line assurance reviews.
  • Support SM&CR processes.
  • Monitor conflict of interest, gifts and hospitality and other compliance activities.
  • Identify new laws and regulations applicable to the bank.
  • Writing ToRs, risk management policies and standards, and other governance documents to to be implemented by the first line.
  • Prepare and improve MI packs to various committees.
  • Oversee the embedding of Consumer Duty across the business.
