Description Job Overview Under the direction of the Vice President of Compliance the candidate will ensure that aircraft articles, covered personnel, and production operations meet the stringent safety and technical standards of global aviation authorities. Responsibilities Lead the implementation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO/AS standards, civil aviation regulations, and customer requirements. Monitor and verify the implementation of ADs and SBs to ensure proper conformity required for a product’s return to service. Manage the supplier quality program, including approving new vendors, monitoring performance, and auditing third-party maintenance providers to ensure they meet QMS and contract requirements. Conduct in-process and product line audits to ensure conformity with the QMS requirements. Oversee the accuracy of manuals, forms, and other documents which fall under the QMS. Manage the tool calibration program. Lead investigations into maintenance errors or safety incidents, utilizing the Safety Management System (SMS), to develop corrective and preventive action plans. Provides technical field support, as required. All other duties as requested by Senior Management. Requirements Qualifications A minimum of five to seven years working in an aviation MRO environment with increasing responsibilities regarding Quality and Compliance. Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, aeronautical engineering, or a related field. Proven experience and training as an aviation auditor through a recognized certification body. Familiarity with RSTM requirements for maintenance personnel as required by 14 CFR §§ 43 and 145. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of US, EASA, CAAC, and UK CAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, and their implementation into the QMS. Ability to understand complex aircraft landing gear and flight control systems either through education, experience, or certification (A&P, AMT, etc.). Strong verbal, written, computer, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and maintenance manuals. Knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the use of metrology methods.
