  • Experience with DHCS standards for incidental medical services and residential licensing.
  • Experience with DHCS standards for outpatient certification.
  • Experience with Joint Commission Standards.
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Experience with DSS Community Care Licensing regulations.
  • Familiarity with logistics and workflow management preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong professional boundaries.

Responsibilities
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures and responds to supervision.
  • Maintains policy and procedure manuals for substance abuse, mental health, and outpatient programs.
  • Works alongside a team of compliance associates to ensure programs comply with Akua policies.
  • Routinely audits the physical environment where care, treatment, and services are provided.
  • Routinely audits client charts.
  • Audits medication management at all programs.
  • Assists with the onboarding of program staff as required by program management and/or human resources.
  • Maintains current CLIA certificates and waivers for all testing sites.
  • Assists in complaint investigations.
  • Assists in quality-of-care concern investigations.
  • Assists in State inspections.
  • Assists with Joint Commission surveys.
  • Oversees the incident reporting process for all programs.
  • Maintains required postings and notices at licensed programs.
  • Provides program staff with education on new and upcoming changes to State and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Supports program management in streamlining workflows as they pertain to program compliance.
  • Assists with the credentialing of new medical providers.
  • Maintains monthly reporting on program evaluation and safety.
  • Performs additional duties as requested by the President, Regional Director or Compliance Officer.
