Over our 26 years, we’ve achieved a lot, but our proudest accomplishment is helping over half a million Australians reach their goals with our ever-expanding lending options.  The Role  As our Compliance Manager (AML), you’ll be responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of Pepper Money’s AML/CTF compliance framework across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring we meet our regulatory obligations including identifying and mitigating financial crime risks.  You’ll be the technical expert your team turns to in relation to Pepper Money’s AML/CTF requirements, working closely with the Senior Compliance Manager and Head of Compliance.  * Leading, coaching and developing a team of Compliance Officers by building technical AML/CTF and broader financial crime capability  * Overseeing the identification, investigation and reporting of suspicious matters within required timeframes  * Provide support to the business and team to ensure customer due diligence requirements are met for individual and non-individual customers  * Supporting the ongoing review, uplift and maintenance of AML/CTF procedures, controls and guidance materials  * Assisting with the preparation of compliance reporting for senior management and governance forum    About you  You’re an experienced AML professional who knows the financial crime landscape inside and out, and you love bringing your team along with you. You take real pride in getting the work right: evidence-based, well-documented and always aligned to Pepper Money’s regulatory obligations and policies and procedures. You’re just as comfortable coaching a team member through their first SMR as you are reviewing a complex investigation or customer structure yourself.  * Solid experience in AML/CTF compliance within financial services * Demonstrated success in the development and management of high performing teams  * Strong working knowledge of Australia’s AML/CTF Act and Rules including customer due diligence, ongoing customer due diligence and enhanced customer due diligence requirements (NZ AML expertise a bonus)  * Experience in transaction monitoring, identifying unusual matters, completing investigations, and Suspicious Matter Reports  * Confident reviewing and decisioning complex matters ensuring decisions are well-reasoned and clearly documented  * A proven ability in managing and developing a team, building technical capability and driving consistency  * Experience with procedure and guidance reviews and enhancement * Strong communicator, comfortable engaging with third-party providers and senior stakeholders alike    At Pepper Money, collaboration is just as vital as your skills.
